Sri Lankan designer Chathuri Samaraweera’s ‘Spring/Summer 2026 collection’ shined at the Paris Fashion Week, making it the first time that a Sri Lankan designer has presented their collection at the international event. Calling it a proud moment for Sri Lanka in international fashion, the Sri Lankan Embassy in France congratulated Chathuri, Founder & Artistic Director of ANAYA Collection, for showcasing her beautiful womenswear collection at an official sideline show of the Paris Fashion Week 2025. “This is the first time that a Sri Lankan designer has presented during the Paris Fashion Week. The fashion show held at Hotel Le Marois, Paris, brought together over a hundred fashion industry professionals and partners,” the Embassy said. Chathuri’a Spring/Summer 2026 collection, ‘Balearic Dreaming’, draws inspiration from the magic of the Balearic Islands — blending soft blues, rose-golds, and vivid aquatic tones into timeless creations. Chathuri’s journey from Sri Lanka to global stage is testament to her vision, creativity, and dedication.
