LNP - Station Masters to launch immediate trade union action

The Sri Lanka Railways Station Masters' Union (SLRSMU) has decided to initiate immediate trade union action in response to the recruitment of Station Masters in violation of traditional recruitment procedures. Cabinet approval has been granted to appoint Station Masters and Railway Controllers every five years following an internal departmental examination. The union has announced that this trade union action will commence within the next 72 hours
