Sri Lankan among injured in Dubai from falling debris
In Dubai, four people were hurt, including a Sri Lankan, due to debris falling from the sky after a successful interception. Officials reported that the injuries were minor and affected a Sri Lankan, two Indians, and a Bangladeshi. The falling shrapnel landed in a residential area in southern Dubai, causing some property damage. The Dubai Media Office mentioned that the situation was managed with high safety standards. Residents in Dubai heard loud explosions several times today. The Dubai Media Office confirmed that these sounds were linked to ongoing military actions. Residents were advised to stay in safe places until the missile threat was over, as defense forces worked to intercept and neutralize aerial threats from Iran. Since the beginning of the conflict with Iran on February 28, 2026, the UAE has seen a total of 178 injuries and 11 deaths.
