A woman lost her life and a child was hurt in a bus accident in Sri Lanka. The crash happened near the 48th milepost on the Mahiyanganaya–Diyatalawa road, according to police reports. A private bus that was going from Diyatalawa to Mahiyanganaya hit both the woman and the child. They were taken to Mahiyanganaya Hospital for medical care, but the woman later died from her injuries. The victim was a 59-year-old woman living in Mahiyanganaya. Police are continuing their investigation into the incident.
