Exposition of sacred Devnimori relics continues for fifth day
The sacred Devnimori relics of Lord Buddha, which were brought from India, are being displayed for the fifth day today, February 9, 2026, at the Gangaramaya Temple in Hunupitiya, Colombo, Sri Lanka. This display began on February 5, 2026. The Devnimori relics were uncovered in the 1960s at the historic Devnimori site located in Gujarat, India, and this is the first time they have been shown outside India. Many devotees came to the Gangaramaya Temple yesterday, February 8, to see and pay respect to the relics. Devotees can continue to honor the relics around the clock until 7:00 a.m. on February 11, 2026. Copyright ©2026 Ada Derana. All rights reserved. Solution by Technology Partner Fortunacreatives.
