Unidentified individuals torch MJP office in Jaffna
A group of unknown individuals set fire to the Mawbima Janatha Party (MJP) office in the Thavady area of Jaffna around midnight on the 13th. The incident happened at approximately 12:50 a.m. and targeted a building that serves as both the office and home of Arun Siddharth, the Chief Organizer for the Jaffna District. CCTV footage captured two people pouring petrol near the entrance before igniting the fire. Initial investigations have confirmed these findings based on the video evidence. According to a reporter from Ada Derana, part of the building was damaged due to the fire. The Jaffna Police are continuing their investigation into this incident.
