Is RW in trouble ? Over 20 UNP MPs ready to join Govt - Prabha Ganeshan

Sunday, 8 August 2010 - 10:47 PM SL Time

Parliamentarian Prabha Ganeshan, who crossed over to the Government on Thursday said that over 20 UNP parliamentarians were ready to join the Government due to the instability and internal crisis for power in the Opposition.

Ganeshan of the Democratic People`s Front (DPF) told the Sunday Observer that as a Tamil political party, an ally of the UNP it has realised that there was no future for the Tamils as the UNP has overlooked the aspirations of the Tamils.

He said several UNP parliamentarians were keen to join the Government and they were negotiating with the Government.

But I don`t think the Government needs the support of the UNPers as the Government is now on a strong footing , he said.

He said that the UNP would get the support of the minorities during elections but the UNP ignores their grievances when the party achieved its target.

If this true, then it's the end of the life line for UNP.
Looks like RW doesn't know what's happening within his own party.

RW should letthat internal Coup or in-subordination or what ever happen.

then, appoint General Fonseka as the LEader and get him to organize the party on a strong flatform.

There are enough and strong issues to win an election.

RW will never ever give the leadership to anyone as long as he lives.
He will die witnessing the end of the UNP-

I doubt that!
UNP will be history but SF may lead once he clears his name.

This has little to do with UNP instability and more to do with the opportunist nature of Sri Lankan politics. The Raja family has taken control of the country by hook or crook and they are not going to give that up for decades.

There is on gravy in the opposition and all these guys want a part of the loot. Now there is a lot of selfless excuse to tell the voter they are doing this for the country. This is not even Punnakku its plain HOG WASH.

DVLADV:

In here, voters expect more accountability from MPs.

If they switch as they wish they can be recalled.
