Creating obstacles for United Nation s activities and its employees at this moment was a foolish act, former leader of the Jathika Hela Urumaya (JHU) and Member of Parliament, Venerable Ellawala Medhananda Thera has said to the `Daily Mirror`.

The UN has many members and the panel to investigate into Sri Lanka was set up by the General Secretary of the UN, Ban Ki Moon and therefore he should be held responsible and not the UN organization,` said the former leader speaking to `Daily Mirror`.

At this point of time we have to think of the future and act wisely. When a protest is held we have to stay within our limits and hold protests in a peaceful manner, he said.

He said Sri Lanka should improve economically and we have to be careful when we hold protests against other countries. Venerable Ellawala medhananda Thera reiterated there were certain traitorous individuals who would use this opportunity to support Western influences and therefore it was unwise

Does it NOT matter? Obviously you know the dfference between a personal opinion (that of the Thera, if that be the case) and that of the JHU.

No sane person can agree with WW's protest and his fast. He has given up the fast now. Smart guy. He knows when and how to stop his stupid acts.

My response to you was with regard to what the monk was saying. Does it matter whether it is his personal opinion or that of the JHU?

Do you agree with what the monk has said that it was foolishness on the part of WW to protest against the UN with a street stunt?????

I really don't understand what your your problem is. If it is a personal opinion, the JHU is NOT bound by it. If not, the statement becomes the official stance of the JHU. So far, there does not seem to be any statement from the JHU distancing itself from the statement. Is the silence of the JHU an indication that the statement reflects the official position of the JHU?

I have answered the second question in my last post.

So are you trying to say if it is his personal opinion you are for it if not you are not for it?????? Or what???????

JHU or not what the monk has said is correct as gathered from your comment.
No sane person can agree with WW's protest and his fast

Whether it is the JHU statment or the monk's personal opinion is irrelevent as far a you are concerned isn't it??????

Sorry mate. Seems the lawyer in you is trying to distort what I have said. Let me say for the last time.

1. There is a A HUGE DIFFERENCE between an opinion expressed in
one's PERSONAL CAPACITY and one expressed in an OFFICIAL
CAPACITY. My comment was just to seek a clarification. Nothing
more. If you REFUSE TO ACCEPT THAT, no one can do anything about
it.

2. The answer to the above IS RELEVANT NOT JUST TO ME BUT TO
EVERY RESPONSIBLE CITIZEN OF THIS COUNTRY.
