I hope all the people in Sri Lanka get to read all this postings
including President
and
ministers
and Attorney General to understand real plight of depositor and suffering of Depositor by this Sri Lanka Madoff lalith kothalawela who must only person in history of Sri Lanka to have robbed and is negotiating with robbed people through the AG department to pay back robbed money over very long period of time. This is frustrating country with all curruption

Lilith K is clean. he is targetted by junta cos he supported UNP in elections. If he joins the junta, he may be given the minister for finance post.

Lalith Kotalawala remanded, ultimatum issued



Lalith Kotalawala and a director of Golden Key Credit company has been remanded moments ago by the Mount Lavinia Magistrate. And an ultimatum was issued to settle the Rs. 26 billion deposits of Golden Key customers in 10 days. A warrant was also issued for Lalith's wife Cecile Kotelawala.

Should have been done long ago'

Whether LK is honest or not, being a Chairman of Golden Key he is responsible and answerable to depositors on every money spent by GK. I am surprised, Nandany Kumar, an 'O level' educated women with mere typing qualifications were promoted to the level of Chief Operating Officer of Golden Key by Khavan Perera ! The Finance Director of ill fated GK too had his own friends with 'O' level education appointed as COO's and CED's. It is open truth that Sarada Sumanasekara was running several establishments of his own including Vidura College from the money diverted from Golden Key.

You seem to be having some doubt about LK's honesty. I hope the information I give below will clear your mind. At the last court hearing it has been revealed that Mrs. LK resigned from the director post at GK in October 2008 and collected over Rs 50 Million as gratuity for 25 years service at 1/2 a month salary for each year at the rate of last drawn salary of Rs 4.5 Million per month!Mind you this was at a time when GK was unable to pay the monthly interest on the poor depositors money. It has also been revealed that she had been a director for only 17 years whereas she has claimed gratuity for 25 years of service. Isn't this enough to establish their honesty and integrity?

I think this is scandalous, to publish names and amounts, I suppose they left the names of your politicians out!

I understand Mr.Lk was remanded again till the 26th of March. The court has also issued order preventing the sale of any assets owned by the Golden Key and its subsidiaries.
