The US Embassy in Muscat has canceled its stay in place order for people in Oman’s capital. This warning was first issued at 20:42 local time (16:42 GMT). The ministry has stated that while the order is no longer in effect for the capital, "shelter in place guidance still applies to the rest of Oman due to ongoing activity." The embassy advises its citizens, "As much as possible, stay in your home, hotel, or another building, and keep away from windows."
