Lebanon’s Health Ministry announced on Tuesday that the number of people killed by ongoing Israeli strikes has reached 1,072, with 2,966 others wounded since March 2, according to Anadolu reports. In their daily update, the ministry reported that 33 individuals died and 90 were injured in the last 24 hours. Earlier, the ministry indicated that at least 17 people lost their lives and 20 were hurt on Tuesday due to Israeli airstrikes and artillery fire targeting residential areas throughout Lebanon. An Israeli attack on the town of Bashamoun in the Aley district resulted in two deaths and five injuries, as stated by the ministry. The National News Agency (NNA) reported that Israeli warplanes demolished a house in Zefta, located in the Nabatieh district, injuring two people. They also conducted multiple strikes in the towns of Srifa, Haris, Rshaf, and Deir Antar in the Bint Jbeil district, as well as in Touline in Marjayoun. The report mentioned that Israeli forces entered Halta in the Arqoub area after midnight, raided a home, opened fire on the residents, killing one and injuring others, and took four people away without revealing their identities. In the Tyre district, an airstrike on a home in the town of Selaa killed four and injured four more. Additionally, three strikes in Tayr Debba resulted in two fatalities and five injuries. One person died in Shabriha after a vehicle was hit, another in Mahruna from a motorcycle attack, and a third on the Burj al-Shamali–Tyre road. In the Sidon district, a strike on a house in the Mieh Mieh Palestinian refugee camp killed two and injured another, while another strike between Adloun and Abu al-Aswad resulted in two deaths and two injuries.
