Donald Trump sets 15-point plan to end Iran war
US President Donald Trump announced on Tuesday, March 24, that progress is being made in talks to end the war with Iran. He mentioned that the US has received an important concession from Tehran. A source confirmed that Washington has sent a 15-point proposal to Iran. At a White House briefing, Trump stated that the US is communicating with “the right people” in Iran to negotiate a peace deal, emphasizing that the Iranians are eager to come to an agreement. “We’re in negotiations right now,” he said. However, Tehran has denied that any direct discussions have taken place. Iran’s influential parliament speaker, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, labeled the news as “fake news” on Monday. The New York Times reported on Tuesday that the US sent Iran a 15-point plan aimed at resolving the conflict in the Middle East. Israel’s Channel 12, citing three sources, indicated that the US is looking for a month-long ceasefire to discuss this plan. A source familiar with the matter confirmed that the US has sent a proposal to Iran but did not provide additional details. According to the Israeli media, the plan includes dismantling Iran’s nuclear program, stopping support for proxy groups, and reopening the Strait of Hormuz. The office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has not yet replied to requests for comments. Trump mentioned that Iran had made a significant concession related to non-nuclear energy and the Strait of Hormuz, but he did not provide further details.
