Major impact on energy sector due to Middle East conflict – President

Sri Lanka's supply of fuel, gas, and coal will be significantly affected by the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, according to President Anura Kumara Dissanayake. He mentioned that the current government has set up a monitoring committee to keep track of these developments and their effects on Sri Lanka. President Dissanayake shared this information during a special press conference about the situation in the country. He also announced that temporary permits will be granted to businesses that deal in US dollars, allowing them to import fuel and sell it to the tourism and export sectors starting tomorrow.
