A shipment of 33,000 MT of Litro LP gas is set to arrive in Sri Lanka within the next two days, according to President Anura Kumara Dissanayake during a special media briefing. He noted that earlier this month, a stock of 38,000 MT had already come in. The President explained that the local demand for gas in March was 33,000 MT, but authorities decided to order 38,000 MT because a private company in the industry had not provided enough gas to the market. The President confirmed that the current shipment of 38,000 MT has been received, and the next one is expected tomorrow or Thursday.
