European airlines extend flight cancellations in the Middle East
Several European airlines have decided to keep their flights to the Middle East canceled. This affects places like Israel, the United Arab Emirates, and Bahrain. British Airways announced that it will continue to reduce flights to the Middle East because of uncertainty and "airspace instability." As a result, flights to Amman in Jordan, Bahrain, Dubai in the UAE, and Tel Aviv in Israel will not operate until May 31. Flights to Doha in Qatar are on hold until April 30, after which they will run on a limited schedule. British Airways will resume its route to Abu Dhabi in the UAE on October 25 as scheduled. However, flights to Riyadh and Jeddah in Saudi Arabia are still running. Air France, the French airline, stated that it must extend its flight cancellations “due to the security situation at the destination and the closure of some airspaces” in the Middle East. Flights to and from Dubai and Riyadh will be canceled until March 20, and flights to Tel Aviv and Beirut will not operate until March 21. Additionally, the German airline Lufthansa has suspended its flights to Tel Aviv until April 9 and to Riyadh until April 5.
