Iranian president apologizes to Gulf countries over attacks
Iran's president has expressed that the United States' demand for an unconditional surrender is merely a “dream they should take to their grave.” In a pre-recorded speech shown on Iranian state television, President Masoud Pezeshkian also extended an apology for Iran's assaults on neighboring countries. He emphasized that Iran would stop these attacks, attributing them to misunderstandings within the ranks. The president guaranteed that Iran would not strike neighboring nations “unless attacked from there.” “I apologize to the neighboring countries that were attacked by Iran. The interim leadership council decided yesterday that there will be no further attacks on neighboring countries and no missiles will be fired unless an attack on Iran comes from those nations,” Pezeshkian stated during the televised address. Despite this, he confirmed that Tehran would “not surrender.” “Our enemies should take their hopes for the surrender of the Iranian people to their graves,” he remarked. This statement follows a morning of intense Iranian fire directed at Gulf Arab countries, as Israel and the United States continued their air strikes against the Islamic Republic. On that Saturday morning, there were multiple attacks on Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.
