COLOMBO (News 1st); The body of a young man who was murdered has been discovered near the Nadee Viharaya in Mattakkuliya, police said. Police Spokesman Assistant Superintendent of Police F. U. Wootler said the victim had been reported missing since yesterday. Following information received from area residents, the body was found this morning. Police identified the victim as a 19‑year‑old youth who was allegedly involved in organised criminal activities. So far, no information has been revealed regarding suspects connected to the killing. Investigations are ongoing.
