Shooting incident reported near Yala National Park

A shooting incident took place near the Heenwala wildlife outpost in Kirinda, located within Yala National Park. Reports indicate that a group in a vehicle was responsible for the shooting earlier today, on the 21st. When the officers at the Heenwala outpost heard the gunfire, they quickly rushed to the location. However, the police reported that the suspects had already left the scene by the time they arrived. Authorities believe the shooting is linked to illegal poaching activities. The Kirinda Police have begun an operation to capture the suspects and find the vehicle used in the incident. They have also notified nearby police stations to help with the investigation.
