We will decide when to end war, not US - Iran s sharp response to Trump

Iran has sharply replied to U.S. President Donald Trump’s comments about ending the conflict in Iran. The country stated it will decide when military actions against American and Israeli targets will stop. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) emphasized that the control over the situation and future of the region now rests with its forces. This statement came after Trump claimed that the fighting in Iran would conclude "soon." The IRGC asserted, “We will determine when the war ends.” They added, “Our armed forces now control the situation in the region; American forces will not end the war.” Trump suggested that the conflict with Iran might be brief, but he mentioned the risk of increased fighting if Iran disrupts global oil supplies, especially since the country has appointed a new hard-line supreme leader. “We took a brief trip to the Middle East to eliminate some evil. I think it will be a short-term trip,” Trump told Republican lawmakers at his Miami golf club. Shortly after, he shared on social media: “If Iran does anything to obstruct the flow of oil in the Strait of Hormuz, they will face retaliation from the United States TWENTY TIMES HARDER than they have experienced so far.”
