Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Rohan Olugala officially began his role today (05) as the Director of the Central Anti-Vice Striking Unit located in Panadura. Along with this new position, ASP Olugala will lead a unit connected to the Special Task Force (STF) that focuses on confiscating illegal drugs and stopping organized crime throughout Sri Lanka. He has previously managed many police operations, both local and international, aimed at capturing well-known criminals and ensuring justice. Recently, he successfully oversaw the arrests of notorious figures, such as ‘Kehelbaddara Padme’ and ‘Commando Salinda’ in Indonesia. He also played a key role in apprehending five wanted individuals in Nepal, including Ishara Sewwandi, who is a main suspect in the murder of the organized crime group leader ‘Ganemulla Sanjeewa’.
