On Monday, a suspected Iranian drone attack damaged the CIA station in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, which is located within the same complex as the US Embassy, according to a source who is familiar with the situation. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported, but the building suffered considerable damage. The Washington Post was the first to reveal that the CIA station was affected by the strike. The CIA has chosen not to comment on the incident. CNN previously reported that two suspected Iranian drones hit the embassy, leading the Saudi defense minister to state that there was “limited fire and minor material damages.” Initially, no injuries were reported, as confirmed by a source to CNN. Additionally, two more suspected Iranian drones targeted “at or near” the embassy, another source disclosed on Monday. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of Iran later announced that it had started efforts to target “American political centers” in the area. The IRGC posted on Telegram that the explosion at the Washington embassy in Riyadh was part of this initiative.
