Iran's state television, Channel Two, has reported that Mansoureh Khojaste Bagherzadeh, the wife of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, has been killed in her home. Earlier reports from Iranian sources had indicated that she was in a coma. Additionally, it was stated that Khamenei's daughter, grandchild, and son-in-law were also killed. Khamenei and his wife had a total of six children, consisting of four sons and two daughters. Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who held the top leadership position in Iran for many years, was killed in strikes conducted by the U.S. and Israel. He was 86 years old. The Iranian state media announced his death on Sunday following a significant attack by Israel and the United States. Just hours before, U.S. President Donald Trump confirmed Khamenei's death as part of the joint operation. Khamenei transformed the Islamic Republic after succeeding Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, who died in 1989. Khomeini was known for his passionate leadership that helped overthrow the shah and establish a government led by Shiite Muslim clerics. Khamenei, a more reserved figure with less religious authority, was tasked with shaping that revolutionary idea into a functioning state.
