The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) has announced that it will keep fuel distribution running smoothly. CPC Chairman D.J. Rajakaruna confirmed that fuel deliveries will continue as normal tomorrow, February 2. He mentioned that even though today, February 1, is a public holiday, the staff worked hard to ensure fuel distribution went on. By 5:00 p.m. today, they had distributed 1,332,311 litres of diesel and 2,019,600 litres of 92-octane petrol. Rajakaruna also pointed out that it is illegal to store fuel at private homes. Therefore, he has asked the police to take action against anyone doing this in Sri Lanka.
