All seven individuals on an air ambulance tragically lost their lives when the plane crashed near Simaria in Jharkhand's Chatra district on Monday evening. The aircraft was flying from Ranchi to Delhi at the time of the incident, according to a senior official from the state government. Chatra Deputy Commissioner Keerthishree G confirmed to the news agency PTI, "All seven onboard the air ambulance died in the crash. The plane was en route to Delhi from Ranchi." The plane, operated by Redbird Airways Pvt Ltd, took off from Ranchi airport at 7:11 PM. Keerthishree G noted that the aircraft went missing around 7:30 PM before crashing in the Bariatu Panchayat area of Simaria, which is heavily wooded. Shubham Khandelwal, the sub-divisional police officer (SDPO), informed PTI that all seven bodies have been recovered. The victims were identified as those involved in the incident. Anant Sinha, CEO of Devkamal Hospital in Ranchi, stated that the air ambulance was arranged for Sanjay Kumar, a 41-year-old from Latehar district. He had been admitted to the hospital on February 16 with severe burn injuries, covering 65% of his body. Local residents mentioned that at the time of the crash, the area was facing strong winds, heavy rain, lightning, and loud thunder, describing the plane's impact as a loud noise during the stormy conditions.
