Naval ships from Oman and Indonesia have docked at the Colombo Port in Sri Lanka today, October 22. The Sri Lanka Navy reported that the Royal Navy of Oman ship, ‘AL SEEB,’ arrived for a logistics replenishment visit. The 75-meter ship was greeted following naval customs. It is led by Lieutenant Commander Hamad Bin Mohammed Aldarmaki, and the visit aims to enhance professional ties and promote goodwill between the Sri Lanka Navy and the Royal Navy of Oman. Crew members will also have the chance to explore various tourist spots in Colombo during their stay, according to the statement. In addition, the Indonesian Naval Ship ‘KRI SULTAN ISKANDAR MUDA – 367’ has also reached the Colombo Port today for a planned logistics replenishment and goodwill mission. The 90.71-meter-long Sigma Corvette FS received a ceremonial welcome upon its arrival, in line with naval traditions. Commander Annugerah Anurullah is in charge of the ship. While in port, the crew is anticipated to visit tourist attractions within Colombo as well. The Sri Lanka Navy noted that the arrivals of the Omani and Indonesian ships provide valuable opportunities to strengthen professional relationships and cooperation among the naval forces.
