Members of the Civil Security Department have contributed a day's salary to the 'Rebuilding Sri Lanka' Fund. This fund was created to help restore livelihoods and rebuild the country after the damage from cyclone Ditwah, according to the President’s Media Division (PMD). A cheque for Rs. 40,870,686 was presented yesterday (22) at the Presidential Secretariat. G.Y.B. Perera, the District Officer of the Civil Security Department, handed it over to Dr. Nandika Sanath Kumanayake, the Secretary to the President. Also attending the event were Ravi Seneviratne, Secretary to the Ministry of Public Security, and Major General Palitha Fernando (Retired), the Director General of the Civil Security Department.
