The Government Radiological Technologists’ Association plans to hold a token strike across Sri Lanka. This strike is set to last for 24 hours, starting at 8:00 a.m. on January 24. Chanaka Dharmawickrama, the Association's President, explained that this action is a protest against the Ministry of Health's failure to properly investigate the actions of the Deputy Director of the National Institute for Nephrology, Dialysis and Transplantation located in Maligawatte. Dharmawickrama mentioned that the Association had previously sent written notices about the strike to the Ministry of Health twice, but did not receive a positive reply. As a result, the Association has chosen to move forward with this trade union action.
