The International Monetary Fund (IMF) plans to send a team to Sri Lanka from January 22 to January 28. This fact-finding mission will look into the damage caused by the recent cyclone Ditwah. Julie Kozack, who is the Director of the IMF’s Communications Department, mentioned that the team will also talk about related policy matters under the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) program. She emphasized that the purpose of this mission is to help the team better understand the current situation in Sri Lanka.
