Met. Dept warns of heavy rain across several provinces from Dec. 29

The Meteorology Department of Sri Lanka has announced that an active easterly wave will pass over the island starting December 29. This is expected to cause heavier rainfall, especially in the Northern, North-Central, Eastern, Uva, and Central provinces in the following days. The public is encouraged to pay close attention to upcoming weather updates and bulletins from the Department of Meteorology.
