Mainly fair weather expected to prevail today

Today, the weather in Sri Lanka is expected to be mostly clear. However, the Department of Meteorology has noted that there may be some rain in the Uva and Eastern provinces, as well as in the districts of Matale, Nuwara-Eliya, Polonnaruwa, and Hambantota. After 2:00 p.m., light showers or thundershowers could occur in a few areas, including Ratnapura, Galle, Matara, and Kalutara. The rest of the island is likely to experience mostly fair weather. In the early morning, mist may appear in certain places in the Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces, as well as in Colombo, Kalutara, Badulla, Galle, and Matara districts.
