Schoolchildren in Sri Lanka can use their November SLTB season tickets to ride buses this month. Deputy Minister of Transport and Highways Prasanna Gunasena announced that students can travel by showing their season tickets from last month. In addition, Deputy Minister of Labour Mahinda Jayasinghe mentioned that teachers have decided to give one day's salary in January to help raise money for academic activities that have been disrupted by the disaster.
