Chaminda Pathiraja appointed Controller General of Immigration and Emigration

The Cabinet of Ministers has officially approved the permanent appointment of Iraj Chaminda Pathiraja as the Controller General of Immigration and Emigration. This decision follows an earlier approval from the Cabinet meeting on May 19, 2025, where Mr. Pathiraja, who serves as an officer in the Special Grade of the Sri Lanka Administrative Service, was appointed to the position on a full-time acting basis. The Cabinet has now agreed to the proposal put forth by the Minister of Public Security and Parliamentary Affairs to make his appointment permanent.
