No revisions to Exam Calendar, Commissioner General assure students

The Commissioner General of Examinations, A. K. S. Indika Kumari Liyanage, confirmed that the Grade 5 Scholarship, G.C.E. Advanced Level, and G.C.E. Ordinary Level exams will take place as planned. In a media briefing after the A/L Exam results were announced, she mentioned that the exam schedule for 2026 was released in September of last year. Students are advised to study based on those dates. She recognized that changes to exam schedules in recent years have caused problems for students. To address this, officials plan to follow the set timetable strictly this year. Additionally, practical exams for the 2025 G.C.E. O/L will occur from April 22 to 30. The first stage of paper marking is already done, and the second stage started today, April 1. The third evaluation phase will begin on April 30, she noted.
