Several injured following collision involving lorry and ambulance in Habarana

A collision between a lorry and an ambulance occurred on the Dambulla–Habarana main road in Habarana, according to police reports. The accident took place this afternoon. The lorry's driver and assistant suffered serious injuries and were taken to Dambulla General Hospital for care. The patient in the ambulance also got hurt, along with the ambulance driver and a female staff member. All injured individuals were admitted to Dambulla General Hospital. Habarana Police have begun an investigation into the crash. Initial findings suggest that the ambulance was heading from Dambulla to Habarana, while the lorry was coming from Habarana to Dambulla. The police believe the accident was caused by careless driving by the lorry driver.
