Almost 700,000 tourists have come to Sri Lanka this year, according to the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA). From January 1 to March 22, a total of 692,744 visitors traveled to the island. Among these, the highest number of arrivals were from India, totaling 135,070. Many tourists also came from other countries such as the United Kingdom, Russia, Germany, and China. The SLTDA also reported that from March 1 to March 22, there were 136,089 new arrivals in Sri Lanka.
