Deputy Minister orders police to raid illegal fuel stockpiles

Police have been directed to conduct raids on sites where fuel is being stored illegally by people during the ongoing energy crisis linked to the conflict in the Middle East. This announcement was made by Deputy Minister of Public Security Sunil Watagala at a Colombo Coordinating Committee meeting in Thimbirigasyaya. The Deputy Minister also emphasized the need for everyone in Sri Lanka to use fuel carefully, noting that all levels of government, including the President, have set a good example in this matter.
