Minister Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa announced that the government has not made any decision to limit school days because of fuel issues in Sri Lanka. He shared this information during a press conference today, on the 22nd, about the recent rise in fuel prices. The Minister confirmed that the current school term will end on April 10. Until that date, schools will only be closed on Wednesdays. He also mentioned that the confusion regarding the G.C.E. Ordinary Level (O/L) and G.C.E. Advanced Level (A/L) exams has caused stress for both teachers and students. To help with this, the government plans to hold classes four days a week to keep the education process going.
