The Lanka Private Bus Owners’ Association (LPBOA) has declared that a nationwide strike will start at 6:00 p.m. today (22) unless there is an official announcement regarding the bus fare revision by 5:00 p.m. The association claims that, even after reaching out to the National Transport Commission (NTC) for an urgent meeting about fare changes, they have not received a proper response from the authorities.
