Israeli military says it is striking Hezbollah targets in Beirut

The Israeli military announced early Saturday that it was targeting Hezbollah positions in Beirut. This came after they warned residents to evacuate seven neighborhoods in the southern suburbs of the Lebanese capital. There were no reports of injuries at that time. Israel has increased its airstrikes on Lebanon as the conflict with Iran-backed Hezbollah enters its third week. This ongoing conflict between Hezbollah and Israel has resulted in significant casualties, making it the deadliest extension of the U.S.-Israeli war against Iran since Hezbollah attacked Israel in support of Tehran on March 2. Over 1,000 people have died in Lebanon, and more than 1 million have been forced to flee their homes.
