Trump calls NATO cowards over lack of support in Iran war

On Friday, March 20, United States President Donald Trump criticized NATO allies for not supporting the US-Israel war against Iran, labeling them as "cowards." In a post on social media, he stated, "Without the USA, NATO IS A PAPER TIGER!" Trump has urged major US allies, who were not consulted about the war, to help protect shipping routes in the Strait of Hormuz. The conflict, which began with US-Israel strikes on February 28, has disrupted global markets, resulted in thousands of deaths, and displaced millions. The president expressed frustration that NATO countries are unwilling to join the fight against Iran while complaining about high oil prices. He noted, "Now that fight is Militarily WON, with very little danger for them, they complain about the high oil prices they are forced to pay, but don’t want to help open the Strait of Hormuz, a simple military maneuver that is the single reason for the high oil prices. So easy for them to do, with so little risk." He concluded with the remark, "COWARDS, and we will REMEMBER!"
