Iran s envoy to UN blames UAE for providing territory to US for attacks
Iran's representative to the United Nations, Amir Saeid Iravani, has officially informed the UN Secretary-General and the Security Council that the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is "internationally responsible" for allowing its territory to be used by the United States for attacks, as reported by state media. Press TV states that Iran is seeking full compensation from the UAE for all damages incurred. At the same time, Iranian armed forces, together with regional resistance groups, are continuing their military response aimed at the United States and Israel, according to Press TV. On Wednesday, March 18, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) and the Iranian Army carried out several strikes as part of Operation True Promise 4. This operation was a reaction to what they called an "unprovoked act of aggression" by the US-Israeli coalition against Iran on February 28, as reported by Press TV. Since the launch of this operation, Iranian forces have conducted 63 waves of missile and drone strikes using advanced weaponry, targeting Israeli military sites in the occupied territories and US bases and assets throughout West Asia. This development follows an Iranian attack on the UAE's Habshan gas facility and the Bab field, which Abu Dhabi described as a serious escalation and a breach of international law. As the security situation in the region changes, the UAE's Ministry of Defence is actively sharing information about the country's military capabilities involved in defensive operations. In Lebanon, the Israel Defence Forces reported that more than 20 Hezbollah operatives were killed during ground operations in southern Lebanon yesterday. According to the IDF, the operatives were killed by troops from the 36th Division and through air strikes from the Israeli Air Force. In one instance, soldiers from the Golani Brigade spotted a group of Hezbollah operatives attempting to fire anti-tank missiles at their forces.
