A tragic accident in Weerawila has left at least four people dead and around 40 others injured. This incident involved a head-on crash between two buses on the Ambalantota–Kataragama road, according to police reports. Both buses were operated by the Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB). The injured individuals are being rushed to hospitals for medical care. The collision occurred when a bus traveling from Colombo to Kataragama struck another SLTB bus that was coming from Tissa and heading toward Karapitiya. Authorities are currently investigating the matter.
