A new fuel shipment has reached Colombo Port, as Sri Lanka continues to face an energy crisis due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, according to the Ministry of Ports and Civil Aviation. The ship, named ‘Seafrontier’, is registered in Hong Kong. The Ministry reported that part of the fuel was offloaded this morning at the Kerawalapitiya fuel storage facility. This afternoon, more of the shipment was delivered to Dolphin Jetty at Colombo Port and then moved to the Kolonnawa fuel storage facility. Authorities from the Ministry and the port confirmed that the vessel delivered 17,000 metric tons of 92-octane petrol, 18,000 metric tons of diesel, and 2,800 metric tons of super diesel.
