Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated in an interview with Al Araby Al Jadeed that the health of the country’s Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, is good. He emphasized that Khamenei, who recently took over after the death of his father, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, is in good health and has a firm grip on the situation in the Islamic Republic. This announcement follows comments from US President Donald Trump, who suggested he has heard that Iran's new leader may not be alive, as tensions continue between the United States, Israel, and Iran. Mojtaba Khamenei became the new Supreme Leader after his father was assassinated at the beginning of the conflict. However, he has not made any public appearances, possibly due to ongoing threats to his life. Israel has issued multiple threats against Khamenei, similar to those made against his father, which may explain his absence from the public eye. The Israeli defense minister has stated that any leader chosen to head the regime will be a clear target for elimination. There are also rumors that Khamenei was badly injured in the same explosion that killed his father. Recently, Iranian state media shared a statement from Khamenei, expressing his commitment to seek revenge, although he did not read it himself. The statement included a promise to avenge the blood of the martyrs. Speculations about his injuries range from a fractured foot to losing a leg, with some even claiming he might be in a coma.
