The Government Medical Officers’ Association (GMOA) has declared that the fuel provided through the QR code system is not enough. In their statement, the GMOA pointed out that specialist doctors, consultant physicians, and administrative medical officers in remote regions are struggling to reach hospitals because of the low fuel supply. Consequently, the GMOA is urging for immediate solutions to resolve the challenges faced by health services and medical staff due to the existing QR-based fuel allocation system in Sri Lanka.
