All six crew members died in a crash of a refuelling plane in Iraq, according to the US Central Command. Earlier, it was reported that four out of the six had died. The KC-135 Stratotanker went down in western Iraq while flying in friendly airspace yesterday. US CENTCOM stated, “The circumstances of the incident are under investigation.” They confirmed that the crash was not caused by either hostile or friendly fire. The names of the deceased service members will be kept private for 24 hours after their families have been informed.
