About 140 US military personnel have been injured since the start of the US operations against Iran, according to Pentagon spokesperson Sean Parnell, who spoke on Tuesday. This number includes eight service members who were seriously hurt. Parnell stated, “Since Operation Epic Fury began, around 140 US troops have been injured over 10 days of ongoing attacks.” He noted that most of these injuries are minor, and 108 troops have already returned to their duties. However, eight are still classified as seriously injured and are receiving top medical care. A US official told CNN that those considered seriously wounded could face life-threatening situations. To date, seven US service members have died in action, with the latest casualty returned home on Monday evening during a solemn transfer ceremony at Dover Air Force Base in Delaware. It is common for injury numbers to change or rise over time, as some service members may delay seeking treatment after an incident, depending on how serious it is.
