Fuel prices increased, petrol by over Rs. 24
The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (Ceypetco) has announced a major change in fuel prices starting at midnight today, September 9, due to the rise in global fuel costs linked to the conflict in the Middle East. The price of Auto Diesel will rise by Rs. 22, bringing it to Rs. 303 per litre, while Super Diesel will see an increase of Rs. 24, now costing Rs. 353 per litre. Petrol 92 Octane will go up by Rs. 24 to Rs. 317, and Petrol 95 Octane will increase by Rs. 25, reaching Rs. 365. Kerosene will also rise in price by Rs. 13, making it Rs. 195 per litre. Additionally, Lanke IOC has adjusted its fuel prices to match those of Ceypetco. The new prices are as follows: Auto Diesel – Rs. 303 (up by Rs. 22), Super Diesel – Rs. 353 (up by Rs. 24), and Petrol 92 Octane – Rs. 317 (up by Rs. 24).
