US operation to surge dramatically , Hegseth says, as Israel declares next phase of war

US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth stated on Thursday that military actions in Iran by the United States are set to increase significantly. During a press conference at US Central Command, he mentioned that the mission would “advance decisively,” as tensions in the Middle East grow. He warned reporters, “If you think you’ve seen something, just wait.” His remarks followed a statement by US President Donald Trump, who claimed that the United States and Israel are “totally demolishing” Iran. Speaking from the White House, Trump noted that Iran’s air force and navy have been “eliminated,” praising the efforts of American and Israeli forces. “Their navy is gone. 24 ships in three days, that’s a lot of ships,” he informed the press. “They have no air force, they have no air defense. All of their airplanes are gone.” Trump also hinted that Iranian leaders might be willing to negotiate to stop the fighting, but added, “We want to fight now more than they do.” This came as Iran’s Revolutionary Guards declared that they were launching a new series of operations against Israel.
