Gulf states say they reserve right to respond to Iranian aggression
Gulf states have declared their intention to defend themselves against attacks from Iran, stating they are prepared to "respond to aggression" if necessary. This statement came after a video conference on Sunday among the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), which includes the UAE, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, and Kuwait. These nations have all faced Iranian strikes and discussed the significant damage caused by these attacks. They talked about ways to restore stability in the region. According to a statement issued after the meeting, Gulf countries will take all necessary measures to ensure their security, protect their territories, citizens, and residents, and may include responding to aggression. The statement also urged an "immediate cessation of these attacks," emphasizing that stability in the Gulf is crucial not only for the region but also for global economic stability. Recently, Iran has been launching missiles and drones at targets in the Gulf, following a major campaign by the US and Israel against the Islamic Republic, which resulted in the death of its supreme leader.
